Macau day trip on bus and foot

On the second day of 2016.  We decided to make our maiden trip to Macau.  Dropped by the tourist visitor Center for a map and asked how to get to St Paul ruins.  Off we boarded bus MT2 with Hkd4.20, eyes glued to bus display with next-stop announcement for 'Praca Ferriera Amaral'.

Alighted.  Followed the huge Chinese crowd on the ancient tile pedestrian path lining the roads along with vintage street lamps and twin pots of flowers.

Made a turn into this side road with Hello kitty cafe.

Hello kitty macaroons
Beef tendons and internal organs looks like a big hit here.

As we near the tourist spots, bigger crowd and more shops selling biscuits and BBQ pork.

Free tasting BBQ pork stall that draws huge crowds.  I'm beginning to be attracted to the colourful display signs for sale items (check my previous story on Northpoint with the crab variety display).
Pilgrimage to St Paul ruins.
Up close and personal.

Na tcha temple (19) on the uphill to the left of St Paul.  I was drawn to the Chunambo wall, love at first sight.

We walked on in search of the place to dine where the locals dine.
PT's attraction.  Vintage street lamp with the twin pots of flowers.
St Antony's church
We passed some eateries with no customers and decided to continue the journey.
Huge plate of choi sin.
Pork trotters hor fun.  Very local and very oily.
This shop's specialties include water crab porridge, frog leg porridge and baby oyster porridge.
After mission accomplished.  PT asked where we are.  I took the map, gave our estimated location and pointed the direction that we need to walk.  He spotted bus 3 with the display 'Praca Ferriera Amaral'.  We checked the map and short list the buses that we could take.
While waiting, we decided to get a bottle of drink from this shop in front of the bus-stop.
The aunty heard us coughing and insisted that we take her herbal tea for cough instead.  We wanted to share and she decided to give us 2 bowls for the price of one.
We finished this and PT decided to purchase another take away bottle for her kind heart.  Voila!  Our cough got cleared the next morning.
