Georgetown maze

Georgetown, driving aimlessly in its maze.
In a vintage car, slightly wound down window for the night breeze to blush the cheeks and feel the spirit of the air.
In the still of the night, passing dimly lit streets and dark alleys rounding corners.

Discover occasional new cafés with warmth glowing from within.
Introduce to old shops and wondering what they used to sell as I deciphere the pop-up Chinese characters written on vintage sign-boards.

Brings me back to the article I came across 2 weeks back from Hermes' publication by a writer who re-visited Kyoto after years of departure from the place he spent about a decade in.

... I have felt the curious, ecstatic sensation of getting away from time.  ... Because I am walking alone, on foot, with no particular aim.  ... What makes the passing of the hours tangible is the goal we are heading for, and the presence of the other beside us.  ~ Keiichiro Hirano

This time travelled me further back to my love at first sight with Hermes Time Suspended watch ~ when time stops at your command.  Two different modes with the same goal.
