Sri Someshwara Swamy Temple @ Bangalore

Visited the temples today.  Started with the oldest in town.  Never thought that I will be able to walk barefoot under the hot noon sun, like the locals.  Inside, amongst the pillars with carvings and flooring with tiles of black and white.  I could travel back in time.  Time is frozen.  While I simply do nothing and feel bliss.

We started the market with munching macaroons from Bonheur Patiserrie.  Passed the fresh produce, Tangy tangerines, Poppy floral studio, the little Provence stall adorned in lilac wallpaper, the great BEER experiment- craft beer venue, bakery, Merchants - wine shop.  Packed some gourmet cheese from the Cheese Ark to go with wine and a roasted chicken from Charly T's for our picnic under the stars with Shakespeare at the Park - Othello at Fort Canning Park later in the evening.  Walked into the Oceans of seafood, japanese retail outlets with sea food displayed on ice: fish, clams, oysters, crabs, prawns.  Before savouring seafood Paella from Le Patio and ending it off with Turkish coffee at Caria - a little stall reminding you the mystical world of Istanbul.

Along the way, I couldn't resist to capture images of a little girl with pink candy floss, it brings back memories of childhood when all we ever wanted was to tour the market with a candy floss on hand.

A Journey

There was a time, I was leading this privileged lifestyle ~ taking a friend's car ride home. Watching sunset, sharing stories, unwinding and transiting physically and emotionally from workplace to home.

Through this journey, I started from needing someone to cheer me to being happy.  The journey ended abruptly.  But somehow, we find other avenues to get connected.

Boat quay on a Saturday afternoon

I had the chance to spend some solitary moments at boat quay, a year and a half after the last (which was on the last calendar day of 2011), after my return from Penang.

It's another gloomy day, like the last; this time, there is drizzle and my wish for it not turn into downpour; because I'm enjoying it.

This used to be a busy locale.  Warehouses lining the banks; bustling with activities, labourers loading and unloading goods. But today, it's quiet.  Only tourists, birds, junk boats, rustling of the leaves, the breeze bringing the stench of the river and memories lost.

On a rare occasion like today, when I am able to catch a hearty breakfast to start the day. I always resolve to do it more often and fail, that's why these moments are always well-treasured.
