Exploring Antique street and cafés ~ Tseung Wan @ Hong Kong

Antique door locks that spell nostalgic.  I shall get one for my dream house.
Check out the different brushes on the bottom right corner, all made from nature's produce.
More antiques, gramophones, lamps and telephones of all types inside the corner shop.
Rice store selling rice in barrels, first encounter.
Chic Cafés lining the streets.

We finally settled in on this cafe at the corner of Holiday inn Express hotel.
Maybe it's because the view from outside to inside spells cozy.  Maybe it's because there were barristar awards displayed.
Or the elegant patron at the counter ushered us in.

The latte goes well with freshly baked Portuguese egg tarts bought from across the street.
More cafés which we along the way with interesting shop fronts and interiors.

Found this gem.
Calligraphy talent.
A live performance.
The end product.  One of the best things with travel is to discover what's not on itenary and bring back memories that's unique to your trip.

Tsim Sha Tsui eateries @ Hong Kong

We stayed at Tsim sha tsui - Butterfly hotel this round because they have bigger rooms fit for 3 to share with ensuite bathroom that's roomy enough too.

Typical view of HK apartment with a red and white top taxi in the forefront.

Chui Wah 翠华tea house fishball noodles
Hong Kong milk tea in the cute cup suited to be the cast of Beauty and the Beast tableware.
Favourite piglet buns - crisps outside and soft Center with butter and condensed milk.
Ya kun coffee shop in HK.  We had to try on our last day because we were puzzled by the long queue as we pass the corner shop each day.  When we checked with our friend in HK, they say they visit the place too because of the reasonable pricing and I reckon to get a taste of Singapore ~ home.
Steamed kaya bread.
Mee Siam with Singapore taste.
The queue at 放牛牛 ice cream was so long that we decided to try it on our last night in HK.
Interesting menu and crowd

Another favourite haunt for breakfast, porridge, yam cake and dough fritters (very crunchy) are huge servings and great!
Love the lunchtime crowd, all the bustle.
